Obsessive Thoughts

This project was intended to explore obsessive thoughts, particularly in the mind of a victim of sexual assault, and how they flood the mind and just take over one's life.

Vulva Door

So I've wanted to make a gigantic vulva forEVer and I finally had a reason to in my prinstallation class when we were supposed to make a "printy object".  I did linoleum prints (of girly things like a tiara and a kitty) on pink fabrics, sewed it into a quilt, and then stuffed it.  The vagina was removed so it could be a doorway people could walk through.

These quilts are about the unfortunate happenings of gang rape during the current protests in Egypt.  They are intended to give the viewer some information about something that's happening in another part of the world.  The second two will be getting a yellow border as well.

Text: I was thinking about homosexuals today, and how similar they are to aliens.

 Text: As a property owner, I wouldn't rent to someone who is gay any more then I would rent to a person who is a practicing witch.

Chastity Belt (Thong Book)

Folded paper with alternating synonyms for prudes and sluts written inside, creating a flower like shape. With chain thong, for the modern woman who hates panty lines and likes a little bling. Warning: Not actual chastity belt!!
